This week I want to introduce you to an Australian guy who came here to Japan to fulfil his dream. Now he is excited and mega 
passionate about seeing this church grow!

Where are you from?

How was life there?
オーストラリアでの暮らしはどんなだった？
Life was great, I had great friends, was always hanging with my Life Group boys, I loved 
my Job, I loved my church, but I was incomplete, because I couldn’t find a wife.
友達や仕事、教会にも恵まれてて、ライフグループの仲間とよく出かけたりしたし、すごく楽しい毎日だった。ただ、完璧ではなかった。僕の奥さんになる人を見つけられなかったんだ。
When and why did you come to Japan?
日本に来たのはいつ？またきっかけは？
I promised God years ago that I would come to Japan for at least a year after coming here on a missions trip with my church.
僕の行ってたチャーチの布教活動として日本に来たことがある。そして数年前のある日神様に約束した。今から1年以内に日本に行くよって。
How’s life in Japan?
日本での生活はどう？
AWESOME, and it’s even better now that I’m married.
サイコー！そして素敵な奥さんがいる今ではもう何とも言えないくらい幸せ。
What’s the biggest challenge living here?
日本で一番苦労したことは？
Income. Any foreigner will tell you this.. LOL.
仕事。たぶん外国人みんなこれ言う(笑)
Also My family is really close, so being this far away from them sucks.
あと僕の家族は本当に仲良かったから、離れて暮らすのがきつかった。
It’s one thing to be able to chat to them on skype, but it’s nothing like getting a big hug from them.
確かにSkypeで話せるけど、僕は直接会って、思いっきりハグしたかったんだ。
What’s been the biggest reward?
日本に来て、一番よかったことは？
Well there are a couple.
２つある。
Seeing people come to know Jesus is AWESOME, but so is being married to my princess!!
新しくイエスを知っていく人を見てるとほんと最高な気分になる。そして、こうして僕のプリンセスと結婚したのも最っ高！！

ジーザスライフハウス大阪のインターナショナルコミュニティのどこが好き？
JLHO is my family.
JLHOのファミリー。
I never get homesick, but I miss my family in Australia, and JLHO is my family in Japan, which makes it easier.
おかげでホームシックにかからないでいるよ。もちろんオーストラリアの家族が恋しい。でも日本での家族、JLHOのみんなといるから平気なんだ。
It’s exciting being part of something that is changing lives, and being part of that is really exciting too.
沢山の人の生き方が良い方向に変わってく。また変えてく側の一部であることが、ほんとに嬉しいんだ。
It is great to be part of the church in such exciting times, where we see so many great things happening.
そんなチャーチで過ごしてると、ほんとに色んなことが起きるんだ。
I’m so excited, and looking forward to the church hitting 1,000 people.もうワクワクする！チャーチの人数が1000人超える日が来るのが待ち遠しい。

Where are you from?
どこから来たの？
I’m from Melbourne, Australia.
オーストラリアのメルボルン出身だよ。
How was life there?
オーストラリアでの暮らしはどんなだった？
Life was great.
最高だった。
Family, friends and so many places to wind down and relax, but I personally didn’t feel my life was going anywhere anytime soon.
羽を伸ばしてリラックスできる場所は沢山あるし、家族も友達もいる。だけど、自分ではこのままでいいのかな？て思ってた。
No vision, no excitement.
将来のビジョンも、わくわくする事もなかった。
When and why did you come to Japan?
日本に来たのはいつ？またきっかけは？
I came to Japan in December, 2010.
2010年12月に日本に来た。
I initially came to work as a lifty at a ski resort in Hakuba.
最初は白馬のスキー場のリフトで働いてたんだ。
I spent 4 months there working and boarding everyday! 
４か月間働いてて、毎日滑り放題だったよ！
After that I decided to stick around for longer and came Osaka.
そのあとは、しばらくゆっくりしようと思って大阪に来たんだ。
How’s life in Japan?
日本での生活はどう？
I love my life in Japan!
日本での毎日がほんとに好き！
There is always something to do here.
常に何かが起きてる。
It’s always exciting and I feel as I have so much purpose being here.
だからワクワクするし、自分は来るべくして来たってほんとに感じる。
God has placed me in this city for a reason.
神様は何かのために僕を大阪に来させたんだ。
What’s the biggest challenge living here?
日本で一番苦労したことは？
The biggest challenge of living in Japan is probably the language barrier, especially when dealing with government/visa/ bill related things. 
日本で一番苦労したのは、言葉の壁かな。特に国関連、ビザ、請求書とか、ほんと困ったよ。
What’s been the biggest reward?
日本に来て、一番よかったことは？
The biggest reward is that I’ve found Natsuyo (my fiance・)!!
一番嬉しいのは(婚約者の)なつよと出会えたこと！
What do you love about being part of Jesus Lifehouse Osaka’s Community?

好き？
I’ve found new family and new friends that will last an eternity.
新しい家族や永遠に続く友情を手に入れた。
I love the sense of family in the JLHO community.
JLHOのみんなのハートが大好き。
Everyone is so loving and caring.
愛と思いやりの心でいっぱい。
Relationships run much deeper than just being friends.
ただ友達っていうか、より深い友情になってく。
We are all brothers and sisters and it’s just one really big, happy family.
みんな兄弟姉妹。これってほんまに幸せな大家族！
